Recently, the Mero4 suction piles project produced by the Zhuhai base was shipped from the port.
The Mero4 project is the first foreign trade offshore engineering project after the completion and operation of the Zhuhai base. It will be applied to the productive pre-salt area of the Santos Basin, 180 kilometers off the coast of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, at a depth of 2,200 meters.

The Mero4 project was meticulously manufactured by the production management team that previously oversaw the construction of the suction jacket for Zone C in Changle's offshore area. To address common challenges in producing ultra-large diameter-thickness ratio steel pipes (with maximum diameter 8 meters and minimum wall thickness 25.4mm), including excessive curvature, transportation difficulties, and handling complexities, the team implemented technical upgrades to production equipment, procured specialized lifting tools, and conducted quality briefings and training sessions. These measures resulted in a first-time inspection pass rate exceeding 99.6%, successfully completing the manufacturing objectives.

Since the full production in the end of April 2024, Zhuhai base has delivered more than 97,000 tons of various Marine engineering orders including this project. With the strong support of the company, the management team strives for excellence and strives to create high-quality products, and the product quality and delivery speed have been praised by customers and owners.
