Located 27 kilometers off the coast of Scotland in the North Sea, the Seagreen Offshore Wind Farm boasts a capacity of 1.1 GW with a total investment of approximately £3 billion, scheduled for completion in 2022/2023. Ziking' Zhongshan Base undertook the production of braces, tapered tubes, transition pieces, and suction buckets for this project.
Following the Trà Vinh Wind Farm in Vietnam, Seagreen marks another overseas wind energy contract for the Zhongshan Base and the first European wind farm project for Ziking. Executed in strict compliance with European standards, the project presented stringent technical requirements, particularly for its suction buckets, which feature a maximum diameter of 11.50 meters—posing exceptional fabrication challenges. To ensure successful production, Ziking’s Zhongshan Base implemented multiple enhancements: modifying the outdoor assembly shelter, upgrading workshop rails, optimizing transport fixtures, refining pipe-section hoisting and assembly procedures, and improving modular transporter solutions. These measures facilitated seamless horizontal assembly, elongation, and transportation of the suction buckets. On the management front, dedicated order tracking, on-site production coordination, and third-party quality control oversight ensured efficient and orderly progress.

On January 28, 2021, the first batch of suction buckets was loaded and shipped from Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province, meeting all client specifications for quality and timeline. This achievement reaffirmed Ziking's manufacturing prowess, enriched its international offshore wind market expertise, and solidified another milestone in global expansion.
