On March 13, 2022, Ziking’s Zhongshan Base achieved another milestone by completing the production of a monopile of equivalent specifications in just 39 days. Despite persistent pandemic control measures and tight delivery schedules, Ziking successfully delivered Monopile #78 for CGN Shanwei Wind Farm through pre-holiday mobilization, incentives for workers to remain on-site, and employment stabilization subsidies.
Monopile #78, with a maximum diameter of 8.4 meters, a length of 102.8 meters, and a weight of 1,584 tons, was the first of 20 monopiles delivered for the project and marked the inaugural shipment of our Zhongshan Base in 2022.

The CGN Shanwei Jiazi Phase-I Offshore Wind Farm is situated in waters south of Hudong Town, Lufeng City, Guangdong Province, approximately 25 km from shore, with depths ranging from 30 to 35 meters. The project has a planned capacity of 500 MW, featuring 78 wind turbines at 6.45 MW each, along with a 220 kV offshore booster station. It also shares an onshore booster station (centralized control center) with the CGN Houhu and Jiazi Phase-II projects. Electricity generated by the wind farm will be stepped up to 500 kV at the onshore station before connecting to the 500 kV Maohu Substation, making it China’s very first approved offshore wind farm project to transmit electricity at 500 kV.

Prior to this, Ziking had constructed two monopile foundations for CGN Houhu project and the CGN Jiazi booster station, playing a pivotal role in the wind farm’s overall layout and development.
Jointly established by Ziking and Guangzhou Wenchong Shipyard Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., the Zhongshan Base has evolved over three years into Guangdong’s largest offshore wind turbine foundation manufacturing facility. Its product portfolio includes monopiles, skirt piles, jacket foundations, pile stabilization platforms, and floating platforms. Having completed monopile contracts for Poly Changda, CGN, Huadian, Three Gorges, SPIC, and the Trà Vinh Wind Farm in Vietnam, Ziking has honed its expertise in large-diameter monopile production, optimizing processes to achieve an annual capacity of 100 units.
In 2022, Ziking plans to increase investments, expand its offshore wind market presence, develop new products, and strengthen its industry competitiveness.
