From May 23 to May 25, a delegation comprising representatives from Saipem, ArcelorMittal, and CNOOD conducted a factory qualification audit for Ziking’s overseas order—the Quiluma & Maboqueiro Project (the "QM Project"). Prior to this, the tripartite delegation had already completed an on-site inspection of Ziking’s Zhongshan Base.

The QM Project represents the most complex order Ziking has secured in recent years, featuring diverse specifications, comprehensive product types, and multiple steel grades, alongside stringent technical requirements for welding, non-destructive testing (NDT), penetration welds, and dimensional tolerances. Products manufactured for the project, which is located in Angola, will be used for the topside structures of gas field development, significantly enhancing Angola’s LNG production capacity and service coverage upon project completion.

During the audit, the delegation verified production details including document approvals, drawings, progress schedules, welding procedures, NDT reports, penetration weld preparations, packaging standards, and delivery timelines. They toured the production workshop at Hefei Base and witnessed live trial cuts of penetration weld pipes. After four days of intensive discussions across both sites, consensus was reached on the entire manufacturing workflow. The delegation expressed high satisfaction with Ziking’s manufacturing capabilities, certifications, and management systems.
